Reading Incentive Programs for Children and Adults

May 27th – August 9th

We’re introducing Beanstack this summer, a free, digital tool that tracks and rewards reading and provides book recommendations. Register online, download the Beanstack app on your mobile device, or visit the library.

You’re In the Band!

For children ages 5-11

Read to form a band this summer! At each reading milestone, kids add another instrument to their band. Earn online badges and pick up prizes at any library location. Complete 24 hours to win the Battle of the Books and receive a new book of your choice from our summer selection!

Rock ‘n’ Roll Readers

For ages 12 and above

Young adults and adults can be Rock ‘n’ Roll readers this summer by tracking the hours they read and earning online badges along the way. Every week there will be a drawing for a $10 gift card to Barnes and Noble. Complete 24 hours of reading and get entered into a raffle for a $100 Amazon gift card.

Prizes available while supplies last. Each individual may participate one time only. Some restrictions apply. Funded by the Friends of the Library of Tampa-Hillsborough County, Inc.

For youth through grade 12

The library has teamed up with the Tampa Bay Rays to make summer reading a home run. Pick up Rays rewards, including a Rays arm sleeve, sunglasses, and drawstring bag, at any of our library locations as your read around the bases. Read 24 hours to reach home plate and receive a voucher for two tickets to see your Tampa Bay Rays in action! Official Site
